Drew Barrymore's estranged mother has put her daughter's baby clothes and movie memorabilia up for auction at www.gavelnet.com -- and bids for one item have already climbed to extra-terrestrial levels. The 18 lots of items, which will remain on the block through next week, include a travel scrapbook, an acrylic painting of her in the role of E.T.'s pal Gertie that was commissioned by director Steven Spielberg and the red cowboy hat the actress wore in "E.T." Bids for the hat reached $45,900 as of Tuesday afternoon, reports the Associated Press. Jaid Barrymore, who acknowledges being a "bit estranged" from her daughter (who is not involved in the clearance sale), is also auctioning off a Christmas card sent to Drew from Jack Nicholson and two collections of baby clothes, including an undershirt decorated with baby chicks and ducks and a white bonnet-and-sleeper outfit.
