Van Damme Road Trip
Jean-Claude Van Damme has pleaded innocent in a Beverly Hills court to misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and driving without a license. Attorney Trent Copeland entered the plea Monday on behalf of the action film star actor, who did not appear in court. A Dec. 20 hearing was scheduled. Van Damme, 38, was arrested Sept. 23 on Sunset Boulevard after deputies suspected he was driving while under the influence of alcohol, sheriff's Lt. Ken Leffler said. The "Universal Soldier" star failed a field sobriety test and was booked at the West Hollywood sheriff's station, authorities said.
