Former "Melrose Place" star Andrew Shue has teamed up with Martin Luther King III to promote acts of kindness and justice among the nation's youth. The AP reports that Shue was with King in Atlanta this week to showcase the Kindness and Justice Challenge, scheduled for the two weeks following the Jan. 18, 1999, holiday honoring the civil rights leader, who was slain in 1968. Shue created the Challenge last year, and King is its chairman. "I think the most important element here is getting that young person . . . to think about helping somebody else," Shue said. An estimated 14,000 schools nationwide took part in last year's Challenge, timed to recognize the impact that Martin Luther King Jr. has had on generations of Americans.
