Supermodel Gets Humanitarian
Talk about Thanksgiving: Supermodel Rachel Hunter has offered to pay the legal fees for a New Jersey woman facing fines after rescuing nearly 100 animals. Lorraine Zdeb, a professional pet-sitter from Millstone, N.J., is charged with violating local zoning regulations in September when she took in dogs, cats, birds, turtles and other critters stranded by Tropical Storm Floyd. Zdeb faces a fine of up to $1,000 for illegally operating a temporary animal shelter in a residential neighborhood. A hearing is scheduled for Dec. 1. No matter the outcome, says Hunter's publicist, the model has pledged to cover Zdeb's legal costs.
