Klugman Saves Dough

Jack Klugman had a lot to give thanks for on Thanksgiving: the "Quincy" and "Odd Couple" TV actor, 77, won a key court battle in a palimony case on Wednesday, when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Kurt Lewin reduced potential judgments against him by nearly $4 million. Lewin ruled that Klugman's ex-girlfriend Barbara Neugass, 57, isn't entitled to proceeds from the 1997 sale of Klugman's California ranch and cannot be compensated for personal items (such as furniture) inside the house. Neugass and Klugman were reportedly an item for 18 years, until their relationship ended in 1992. (During this period, Klugman was married to actress Brett Somers, from whom he is now separated.) The case continues today, and a jury will ultimately decide whether or not Neugass is entitled to financial support from Klugman.
