Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Have Broken Up for Now, a Source Says

George's New Boss

12/02/1998 at 12:00 AM EST

A successor to George magazine founding editor John F. Kennedy Jr. has been named by the political journal's publisher, Hachette Filippachi Magazines. Frank Lalli, a former managing editor of MONEY Magazine, will assume control of the struggling publication (with its depressed circulation figures and ad pages). A wide search for the position had taken place, with several high-profile political and journalistic names entered into the ring. Following Kennedy's death last July, Hachette assumed the Kennedy family's 50% stake in George, giving the French-based publisher 100% of the title. Lalli said he will strive to make George more newsy than it is now and told The New York Times, "I took this job because I believe in John's mission."
