Adding further fuel to the much-discussed state of her marriage, Hillary Rodham Clinton says she will spend the holidays at the White House -- but after that her home will be in New York, where she plans to seek the U.S. Senate seat. The First Lady said Monday she expects to begin moving her belongings into the Clintons' new house in Chappaqua, N.Y., later this month if she receives approval from the Secret Service by then. "The Secret Service is moving forward and making the changes that they have to make," Mrs. Clinton told reporters Monday during a tour of White House holiday decorations. "I'm pulling things out of storage and deciding what has to be recovered or reupholstered." Although she is packing boxes, Mrs. Clinton said she and President Clinton plan to spend Christmas together at the White House -- and then she cut off any further questions on the subject.
