Globes: Sharon Stoned

Controversy is nothing new in the land of the Golden Globes, where the aims and accomplishments of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (which votes on the Globes) remain ill-defined. But this much is known: One of this year's best actress nominees, Sharon Stone (for "The Muse"), has come under fire for sending each of the 82 members of the Foreign Press Association a Coach watch worth nearly $400. The members were ordered by their president, Helmut Voss, to return the timepieces. The actress, meanwhile, claims her movie's distributor sent the gift.
