A Columbine Sentence

A 17-year-old accused of threatening to "finish the job" of the teenage killers at Columbine High School received a deferred year-long sentence Tuesday after pleading guilty to the two minor charges (one, of interfering with staff, faculty or students in an educational facility, and the other, of theft). The boy, an acquaintance of killers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, had seen a therapist who reported he was no threat to himself or others, a spokeswoman for the Jefferson County District Attorney's office told the Associated Press. (The student's name is being withheld, because he is underage.) District Judge Christopher Munch told the teen that if he fails to meet any of the program conditions prescribed to him he could be imprisoned for the rest of the year-long sentence.
