Songs of the Century

While the Stones, Bruce and Pavarotti continue to fill stadiums and attempt to generate new hits, none can claim a place on the list of songs of the century. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers has released its list of the 25 most-performed songs of the 20th Century. And the winner? "Happy Birthday to You." The song (by Mildred J. Hills and Patty Hill) is followed by "Tea for Two," "Moon River," "Over the Rainbow," "White Christmas," "Hello, Dolly!," "As Time Goes By," "Rhapsody in Blue" and "Night and Day."
