Madonna Exits Super Bowl

Don't look for Madonna at the Super Bowl, after all. Her manager announced Tuesday that she will not premiere her new rendition of "American Pie" at the sports event, as was widely reported earlier this week. "After meeting with Madonna in London," said the statement, "we agreed that due to her recording schedule there is simply not sufficient time to put all the elements in place that are required to deliver a performance on the level of (the) Super Bowl." In other news of the Material Mom, she has put her $6.55 million London home back on the market -- just weeks after buying it. The near-fatal stabbing of ex-Beatle George Harrison at his mansion near London last week and the murder of BBC TV presenter Jill Dando at her home in the British capital last April are said to have played into her decision.
