Steal Ben Stein's Money

Ben Stein, the droll, bespectacled host of Comedy Central's "Win Ben Stein's Money" game show, was confronted Jan. 5 by two men, one armed with a handgun, after he parked his car in the garage of his Los Angeles home. "They didn't actually hit me but they did point a gun at me, and it was very, very scary," Stein, 55, told the Associated Press. "They didn't seem to know who I was." The robbers demanded money, jewelry and his briefcase, said police. Stein handed over his wallet with about $1,000 cash, credit cards and his paycheck. Then the men fled on foot. Stein said the robbery has caused him to change some of his routines and that he now has a part-time bodyguard.
