Combs Named in Lawsuit

As Sean "Puffy" Combs awaits his Feb. 14 court date for weapons charges following the shooting incident in a New York nightclub last month, he may need to clear his calendar for a day in civil court. Julius Jones, 27, one of the three wounded by gunfire at Club New York, has filed at $100 million lawsuit against the rapper-producer. Jones, who was treated for a shoulder wound, claims in his suit that Combs assaulted him. A lawyer for Combs dismissed the lawsuit as "without merit." Both Combs and his girlfriend, singer-actress Jennifer Lopez, fled the scene following the shooting at the club, but Lopez was not charged. Jamal Barrow, a rapper known as Shyne, faces three counts of attempted murder for his alleged involvement in the shooting.
