In other news from England, fallen "glam rock" star Gary Glitter, 55, will be released from prison Tuesday after serving half of a four-month sentence for collecting hard-core child pornography. Glitter will be escorted from Bristol prison to another location before being released, due to the fact that he has been receiving anonymous death threats. A prison services spokesman told Reuters that prisoners are normally released from the main entrance, but that Glitter (who served his sentence in the health care center of the prison, because of threats from other prisoners) would be smuggled out. "There's the fear of public disorder outside the jail." There have been reports that, upon his release, Glitter plans to leave his native England to take up residence in Cuba.
