'ALF' Dad Busted
Also on Southern California's Highway 101, Max Wright, who played the father in the '80s TV series "ALF" and now plays the boss on ABC's "Norm," was arrested for investigation of drunken driving. Neither Wright nor the other driver was injured. Authorities said that Wright was driving late Monday when his 1985 Volvo rear-ended a 1992 Honda. Traffic had slowed down after a previous, unrelated collision on the freeway. Wright, 56, was booked at a Los Angeles police station and posted bail Monday afternoon. Besides his TV work, Wright can also be seen on the big screen in "Snow Falling on Cedars."
