'Peanuts' for Your VCR
Remember to check the Feb. 13 funny papers for the final "Peanuts" cartoon. Charles M. Schulz is retiring for good after that. But on Friday, Feb. 11, another institution is saluting the good guy behind Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the others. Veteran newsman Walter Cronkite will host the new CBS entertainment special, "Good Grief, Charlie Brown: A Tribute to Charles Schulz." The one-hour retrospective will take a look at all 50 years of the "Peanuts" strip and how its characters charmed and affected us. One bit of inside info: Inspiration for Snoopy came from Schulz's own dog. His name was Spike.
