The Suicide Show

So, who doesn't want to be a millionaire? But who wants to commit suicide? Some programming types in Oregon think there may be a market for people wishing to off themselves. This Wednesday and Friday, public-access TV viewers in Eugene and Springfield will be treated to a do-it-yourself program on committing suicide, based upon Derek Humphry's best-selling book, "Final Exit." As expected, some people are up in arms. "I think it's reckless," Barbara Coombs Lee of the Portland-based Compassion in Dying Federation told USA Today. "It can give people the means to act on impulsiveness." On the program, Humphry names the top three lethal drugs and advises where to find them -- with or without a doctor's prescription.
