"Ally McBeal" co-star Lisa Nicole Carson, 30, is recuperating at her Los Angeles home following a two-week hospital stay for treatment of an undisclosed medical condition. Carson, who plays Ally's housemate Renee Radick on the Fox TV hit (she also plays the mother of the Eriq LaSalle character's son on "ER"), was hospitalized for "a couple of weeks" before being discharged earlier this week, said publicist Pat Kingsley. She added that details of Carson's medical condition were being kept private at the request of the actress's family. "She will be recuperating at home and then she will come back to the show," Kingsley said in a statement, adding that producers of the Emmy Award-winning series decided to release word of Carson's condition because they had been receiving "inquiries about her not being on the show for the past couple of weeks and wanted to clear it up as fast as possible."
