Ford to the Rescue

It's one thing to be haunted by dead people, it's quite another to be a little kid and lose an award. Such was reportedly the case when 11-year-old "The Sixth Sense" star Haley Joel Osment lost the Golden Globe to Tom Cruise in the best supporting actor competition at last month's televised banquet. New York magazine reports that Osment started crying uncontrollably, with the tears continuing to flow well after Cruise left the stage. The event's producer, Dick Clark, reportedly ordered the TV cameras to leave Haley alone -- which they did -- but the hero of the evening turned out to be Harrison Ford, who walked over, spoke to the boy, and helped him compose himself.
