Another day, another Whitney Houston item. Organizers of Arista Records's proposed 25th anniversary bash, to take place April 10 in Los Angeles, are said to be concerned over the participation of Arista star Whitney Houston, reports the New York Post. Houston was replaced by singer Faith Hill at Sunday night's Oscars after Houston reportedly missed her stage marks and song cues at a rehearsal on Friday. The pop diva's publicist attributed her client's Oscar absence to a sore throat. The Post says that just in case Houston's throat is still aching on April 10, Arista is lining up Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20 and Kelly Price to perform. Aretha Franklin is reportedly another possibility. An Arista spokesperson, however, told the paper that Whitney will "absolutely perform." Stay tuned.
