Swank Defends Jolie

There have been a lot of jabs aimed at "Girl, Interrupted" best supporting actress Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie since the ceremony on March 26. First, there was the way she was dressed like Vampira. Then there was what seemed to be her extremely close relationship with her brother Jamie. Comic Julie Gold used Jolie as joke fodder at Sunday night's Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Media Awards in New York. But GLAAD award winner (who also won an Oscar) Hilary Swank, who was honored for her gender-bending role in "Boys Don't Cry," stood up for Jolie on Sunday, reports New York's Daily News. She reminded the crowd that Jolie has been forthright about her admitted bisexual experiences and that she should be admired for dressing and living as she wants.
