The Giffords are steamed. Kathie Lee and hubby Frank have sued the supermarket tabloid The Examiner over an article that claimed their son Cody, 10, is incorrigible. The libel suit was filed Thursday in Palm Beach County, Fla., with the couple claiming that the Feb. 8 issue of the tabloid featured made-up tales about how Cody Gifford supposedly misbehaved on the set while acting in the ABC movie "Janine & Alex: Cover Girls." The headline to the story read, "Kathie Lee's Turning Poor Cody into a Monster." "It's a gratuitous, nasty article about a . . . child, and they think they ought to take some action," the couple's Los Angeles-based attorney, Barry Langberg, told the Associated Press. Lawyers for The Examiner had no comment.
