A movie stunt double for Oscar nominee Russell Crowe ("The Insider") was killed yesterday on the Equador location of the movie "Proof of Life." The fatal accident that claimed the life of Hollywood stuntman Willie Garner didn't occur during a stunt, but while he was on the way to film a scene, reports the Associated Press. The pickup truck carrying Garner and several crew members veered off a mountain road and plunged some 450 feet into a gorge. Five others were injured. The movie, which has been shooting for a month, stars Crowe, Meg Ryan and David Caruso -- none of whom was involved in the accident. Authorities are said to be investigating the cause of the accident.
