Despite angry criticism from some ABC News staffers, the network has decided to air Leonardo DiCaprio's 20-minute interview with President Clinton as part of a Saturday, April 22 Earth Day special. The journalists had questioned the decision to use a movie star as an interviewer. DiCaprio and Clinton sat down on March 31 to discuss global warming and the greening of the White House. In a terse statement released Tuesday, ABC News spokeswoman Eileen Murphy said of the plan to go ahead with the interview: "It was an editorial judgment made here with many senior management people involved. Everyone is comfortable with the decision. But we're not going to discuss our editorial process."
