The Elian Gonzalez saga will become a CBS movie of the week, or possibly a mini-series, network president Leslie Moonves has announced. Only problem: nobody knows how it will end. "I keep seeing the story grow," Moonves told USA Today. "There's another movie just in all the Janet Reno stuff." The attorney general interceded in the as-yet unresolved drama of the 6-year-old Cuban boy who last November was brought to the U.S. by his mother, who drowned en route. Elian's father, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, is now in the U.S. but has still not been reunited with his son, whom he hopes to return to Cuba. (Last night on "60 Minutes," Juan Miguel presented himself in a sympathetic light, with tears in his eyes as he spoke of his son.) CBS hopes to air the Elian saga either as a two- or four-hour movie during the November sweeps period.
