Whitney: Fate Unclear
It's not all over, after all, between Whitney Houston and authorities in Hawaii. Despite news reports that, following an airport incident in January, all charges against her have been dropped because of a lack of sufficient evidence, USA Today reports that the investigation is still very much alive. Security guards claimed they found a half-ounce of marijuana in the pop diva's handbag before she boarded a flight to California and flew away, literally leaving them holding the bag. Hawaii County prosecutor Mel Fugino now says that reports that she won't be charged on drug possession "are not accurate because we are still in the investigative stages." Houston could still face a $1,000 fine and 30 days behind bars.
