CBS Rejects Christian Ads for 'Jesus'

CBS has reportedly rejected advertising from a Christian Web site that sought to air commercials during the "Jesus" miniseries airing on Sunday and Wednesday. The site, www.iBelieve.com, wanted to purchase $450,000 in commercial spots during the "Jesus" miniseries and also during CBS's high-rated series "Touched by an Angel," reports the Associated Press. CBS maintains that ads and sponsors are chosen for each broadcast and that these ads might over-commercialize the show. "We feel like the Internet start-up David standing up to the media-conglomerate Goliath," John Nardini, an iBelieve marketing executive, told AP.
