More of Katie and Matt?

Look for Katie Couric and Matt Lauer to extend their on-air hours. The Hollywood Reporter says that at a New York press gathering scheduled for this morning, NBC News has plans to announce that it will expand "Today" by one hour. The show's hosts, Couric and Lauer, are expected to anchor the additional segment, the trade paper says. No date for the expansion has been announced -- nor what this move may mean for "Later Today," which currently follows the powerhouse "Today" show and which has been struggling in the ratings.
