Elian on the Move
Elian Gonzalez is reportedly moving from the Maryland compound where he's been kept with his father, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, to a 6.5 acre estate in Washington D.C.'s posh Cleveland Park neighborhood. The Washington Post says that federal marshals will be making the move, too, in order to insure that the 6-year-old shipwreck survivor and his dad don't leave the country for their native Cuba in violation of a federal court order for Elian to stay in the U.S. The Post also says Elian's new neighbors aren't at all happy over the prospective media glut about to be foisted upon them. Juan Miguel's attorney, Greg Craig, is due to address residents' concerns at a gathering today.
