Cannes Fest Begins with Curfew

The Cannes film festival kicked off yesterday but attendees this year will have to adhere to a new ruling by the mayor -- a curfew. The Associated Press reports that beaches will be shut down shortly after midnight during the 12-day film celebration on the sea, known for its wild parties. Not all will be disappointed, though. "Honestly, after watching three or four films a day, that is not going to be a problem for me," French director Luc Besson told AP.
