Seinfeld's Bad Spell

09/11/1998 at 12:00 AM EDT

Jerry Seinfeld helped host a charity classic car show this weekend in the Hamptons, where he and wife Jessica are doing major work on the $45 million estate they recently bought from Billy Joel. According to the New York Post, Seinfeld was called upon to present an award named after him to the owner of the best-looking car. But, inspecting the award before handing it over on Sunday, Jerry noticed his last name was misspelled. The trophy read, "The Jerry Seinfield Award." Quipped the presenter: "I guess my show wasn't such a big hit out here."
