At the ninth annual MTV Movie Awards on Saturday night in Los Angeles (the show debuts on Thursday), the big winners were "The Matrix," "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" and "Cruel Intentions." Each of the three films snagged two awards apiece at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, where winners selected by MTV viewers were honored during a ceremony hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker. Best movie went to "The Matrix" while the top two acting awards were presented to Keanu Reeves ("The Matrix") and Sarah Michelle Gellar ("Cruel Intentions"). Gellar also shared the Best Kiss prize with her "Cruel" costar Selma Blair (on stage, Gellar called the same-sex smooch "my most rewarding kiss on screen ever") and Reeves split the Best Fight honor with Laurence Fishburne ("Ouch," Reeves said on stage, recalling their fight scene). "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" earned two awards, for Best On-Screen Duo (Mike Myers and Verne Troyer) and Best Villain (Myers again).
