Embattled Atlanta Braves pitcher John Rocker, who was demoted to the minors this week, is considering leaving baseball altogether, to become a stockbroker. "There's something to be said for having a job that's just not a complete headache," Rocker, 25, told Atlanta radio station WKLS yesterday. The interview marked the first time Rocker has spoken publicly since his reputed tirade on Sunday against Sports Illustrated reporter Jeff Pearlman, who in a December issue of the magazine made public Rocker's insulting remarks about minorities, gays and others. Rocker is supposed to report to the Richmond Braves of the International League by 5 p.m. today. "I don't know if I'm even going down or not," he told the radio station.
