Swayze Wasn't Drunk: Investigators
It wasn't alcohol, after all, that caused Patrick Swayze to crash land -- safely -- his private plane on June 1. It was tobacco. Federal investigators said this week that a broken clamp on a pressure hose probably caused depressurization of the cabin of Swayze's Cessna. That, and the fact that Swayze, 47, is a chain smoker, could account for reports that he appeared drunk when he landed. Although there were reports of erratic behavior, bloodshot eyes and depleted beer cans aboard the plane, says the Associated Press, the "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" star, 47, has not been charged with any crime.
