Drescher on the Mend

"The Nanny" star Fran Drescher, 42, is recovering at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles following emergency surgery on Wednesday after doctors discovered she had uterine cancer. "The cancer was caught at stage one and the surgery was 100% successful," Drescher's publicist, Cari Ross, told the New York Post. "She's been given a clean bill of health." No post-op radiation or chemotherapy will be required, the rep said. Drescher, whose 21-year marriage to "Nanny" co-producer Peter Marc Jacobson ended last year, recently told PEOPLE that she is dating a director (whom she declined to name) and hasn't ruled out a return to TV.
