Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the record stores, they're back: The Spice Girls. "We have two more weeks in the studio," Melanie Chisholm ("Sporty" Spice) told Reuters on Friday. "We are shooting a video, and then it will be all done and dusted. It will be out in November." Since last year, the Spices have been going at it solo, and though Mel C didn't say so in her remarks, it is not expected that the first defector from the group, Geri Halliwell ("Ginger" Spice), will be part of the new album. Since they began, the Spice Girls -- first a quintet, now a quartet -- have sold 36 million copies of their first two albums, putting them in a sales league with the Beatles. Their solo efforts have met with mixed results, though Chisholm's "Never Be the Same Again" album sold more than a million copies across Europe and topped the pop charts in seven countries.
