Post Office Loves Lucy
The U.S. Postal Service announced on Friday that Lucille Ball, who died in 1989, will be honored with her own stamp in 2001. She'll be part of a "Legends of Hollywood" series that will also include Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Humphrey Bogart and Alfred Hitchcock. Lucy was previously seen on a stamp in a Fabulous '50s series, alongside her onetime husband and costar Desi Arnaz. Next year's issue will be her solo stamp debut. Funny, we remember her in the chocolate factory, but not in the post office.
