Fashion Sale For Cancer Fund

At the Super Saturday 3 benefit for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, co-hosted by designer Donna Karan, supporters paid $500 per ticket, but it wasn't your typical black tie dinner affair. On the 2-acre Hamptons waterfront estate of commercial director Ken Nahoum and his wife, Victoria's Secret model Basia, celebrity guests instead shopped for designer goodies at cut-rate prices. Designers Randolph Duke and Shoshanna Lonstein were among those on hand to personally display their goods, which were available to guests that included Edie Falco ("The Sopranos"), Angie Harmon ("Law and Order") and Kyle MacLachlan ("Sex and the City"), who said his mother died of the disease in 1986. "For years afterward, I didn't know what I could do, should do," he said, adding that it was Karan who told him about the fund after he worked with her on an ad campaign. "I started donating money and thought here is a way I can start. It was the first gesture." Organizers for the fashion sale say they expect to pull in more than $250,000 from the event.
