Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid are separated but the couple is determined to maintain a relationship for their 8-year-old son Jack, reports the Aug. 21 issue of PEOPLE. Ryan, 38, and Quaid, 46, were together to accompany Jack to the movies (they saw "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps") and to attend church. Since the couple's split was announced in June, after nearly 10 years of marriage, Ryan has been spotted in the close company of "Gladiator" star Russell Crowe. There's no word yet on whether or not Ryan and Quaid are planning to divorce.
