Forget three-picture deals. These days, blessed events in Hollywood don't have to do with pet projects, but with babies. According to the Aug. 28 issue of PEOPLE, August is often the busiest month for maternity wards -- and this year it was also the most glamorous. On Aug. 8, Catherine Zeta-Jones gave birth to son Dylan, with a hospital assist from fiance Michael Douglas; three days later, Madonna and director Guy Ritchie welcomed son Rocco; and, on Aug. 15, Somalian-born model Iman and her rock star husband, David Bowie, embraced new daughter Alexandria. Madonna's child, her second, caused the biggest tidal wave of headlines -- followed by a storm of rumors this week that the ne wborn (who was three weeks premature) is being treated for a variety of maladies. "Nonsense," says Rocco's pediatrician, Dr. Peter Waldstein. "Everything is fine." Madonna's spokesperson, Liz Rosenberg, concurs and says that Madonna and child are now safely at home with Ritchie and older sister Loudes, 3. Kirk Douglas, father of Michael Douglas, told PEOPLE that Zeta-Jones looked at her his new grandson's chin "and screamed and said, 'Look at that dimple!' " The elder Douglas, 83, added, "It's even bigger than mine!" As for Iman, whose baby came only yesterday (Tuesday), "She's a bit tired," says her father, Mohamed Abdulmajid, but she's doing well and is very happy," Chimed in fellow model, Naomi Campbell: "I'm sure she'll be an amazing mother."
