Lawyer for Ramseys: DA 'Fishing'
An attorney for the parents of slain child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey yesterday accused Colorado prosecutor Michael Kane, who questioned the tot's mom in a seven-hour session that is expected to continue today, of going on a "fishing expedition" in order to link the couple to the 1996 killing. Patsy Ramsey was interrogated in the Atlanta office of her attorney, L. Lin Wood, who made the charges against the prosecutor. The session on Monday marked the first time in two years that John and Patsy Ramsey have been questioned by law authorities. Wood told the Associated Press that Kane threatened to walk out of the session with Patsy Ramsey when an argument arose over questioning about fiber evidence and security precautions for JonBenet's older brother, Burke. The prosecutor said he would have no comment until the interviews were over. Once authorities conclude with Patsy Ramsey this morning, they are expected to turn their attention to her husband.
