Michael Jackson's New Playground
After first announcing that he was opening his own type of Disneyland in Denmark, and then in Poland, Michael Jackson, 42, has selected a new site for his playground: Africa. New York's Daily News reports that Swaziland's King Mswati said that he met with the pop star at California's Disneyland last month to discuss Jackson's building an amusement park in the small kingdom adjacent to South Africa. The plan to build Jacksonland -- or whatever it is to be called (Jackson's California ranch already uses the name Neverland, taken from "Peter Pan") -- in Poland hit a snag when local conservationists protested its impact on the local environment.
