Fired Indiana University Hoosiers basketball coach Bobby Knight isn't forgotten -- and he's not entirely gone, either. Although he was axed on Sunday for his volatile behavior (allegedly shaking a student to teach him manners), Knight reportedly named his own interim replacement at the school, his former assistant coach Mike Davis, whose appointment was announced Tuesday. The move was made to head off a possible player revolt over the action against Knight, say observers. Yesterday in an interview on ESPN, Knight, 59, said his next gig may be to assist Indiana Pacers coach Isiah Thomas, who has made Knight an offer. "I'm an unemployed teacher right now, and I'm looking for a place to teach," said Knight, who also mentioned that he believes he did nothing to merit his being fired from Indiana U.
