Farrah: Fly Baby

Talk about an about-face: So anxious was Farrah Fawcett to costar with Richard Gere in director Robert Altman's "Dr. T and the Women," reports PEOPLE magazine in its Oct. 2 issue, that she dyed her famous hair en route to the set of her picture and even chartered her own plane to get there. Fawcett, 53, was in Nova Scotia shooting the TNT movie "Baby" (set to air Oct. 8) when the romantic comedy with Gere was getting going in Dallas. (Last week it opened at the Toronto Film Festival to a cheering crowd.) Brunette for "Baby," Farrah needed to be her trademark blonde for the "Dr T," and changed her hair color in the air en route to Texas. Flying back to "Baby" in Canada, says PEOPLE, Fawcett went back to brown.
