Whitney: No Comment

Whitney Houston has so far remained mum on Sunday's decision by Hawaiian prosecutors to charge her with "third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug" stemming from an incident nine months ago when police reportedly found more than fifteen grams of marijuana in Houston's luggage at Hawaii's Keahole-Kona International Airport. Although Houston was not arrested at the time, officials seized the bag shortly before the pop diva boarded a plane bound for San Francisco. Houston has until Oct. 26 to turn herself in to police or a warrant will be officially issued for her arrest. If found guilty, she could face a maximum 30 days in prison and a $1,000 fine. Yesterday deputy prosecutor Charlene Iboshi told Reuters that if Houston decided to plead guilty, the matter could be handled through paperwork and Houston could sidestep a court appearance. Houston's spokeswoman told the news service, "At this time we are unable to comment."
