'Oprah' Bachelor Gets Married

Once Texas millionaire -- and bachelor -- Mike Mullen, then 48, appeared on Oprah Winfrey's show in 1998 to say he was looking for a bride, he was reportedly besieged with thousands of letters. The Associated Press says that he dated more than a dozen of the applicants, some of them more than once, but he walked down the aisle on Saturday with none of them. Instead, Mullen, the CEO of Energy Equipment Resource Inc., married Tiffany Kornegay, a model in her mid-20s. (It's his third marriage.) Nearly 400 guests attended the wedding, which was marked with fireworks and horse-drawn carriages at an English-style estate in Dallas. When Mullen spoke to Oprah, he showed off a 13-carat diamond ring that he promised to place on the finger of his lucky (next) bride. No word on how he and Korngay met, though they became engaged last March and are now honeymooning in Sweden and Paris, his publicist says.
