After winning two games, the New York Yankees lead the World Series against the New York Mets this morning, though the talk of the town is why did Yankee Roger Clemens throw part of a broken bat at Met Mike Piazza last night. This past July in an inter-league game, Clemens hit Piazza in the head with a fastball. Today, both sides are trying to remain cool. In happier news, the town's Daily News quizzed celebrities on which team they're rooting for. In the Mets' corner: Lauren Bacall ("I'm an old-time National Leaguer"), John Leguizamo ("I'm from Brooklyn") and John McEnroe. For the Yanks: Regis Philbin, Cuba Gooding Jr., Matt Lauer, Billy Crystal, Donna Karan and author Salman Rushie, who said, "I'd like to see the old guys win one last one."
