Paul McCartney and Godfather of Soul James Brown both brought the audience to its feet this weekend at the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards, held at New York's Theater at Madison Square Garden, and what a well-dressed audience it was. The ex-Beatle was there to support his fashion-designer daughter Stella, and Brown was there to perform a duet of "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" with Lenny Kravitz. Dylan McDermott, wearing Hermes, told PEOPLE that he came to the event specifically to hear Kravitz, while fighter Oscar De La Hoya said of the musician, "He's such a sweet of a guy. He's incredible." The athlete, meanwhile, was there to present an award with Jennifer Love Hewitt, who told PEOPLE, "Boxing is my favorite sport and I get to present with Oscar De La Hoya, so I'm very psyched about that."
