In a much-anticipated black-tie event, Michael Douglas, 56, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, 31, swapped gold rings reportedly worth $9,000 each in a $1 million wedding at New York's Plaza Hotel on Saturday night. The bride wore a $250,000 David Emmanuelle dress, and Cameron Douglas, the groom's 21-year-son from his previous marriage (to Diandra Douglas), served as best man. Guests included Steven Spielberg, Martin Sheen, Sharon Stone, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hanks, Whoopi Goldberg, Heather Locklear, Goldie Hawn, Barbara Walters, and couples Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, Jack Nicholson and Lara Flynn Boyle, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, and Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan, among many others -- including the wedding couple's 3-month-old son, Dylan. Manhattan from 59th to 57th Streets was wedding central for the entire weekend, with a rehearsal dinner taking place for 150 people Friday night at the Russian Tea Room. At the reception, the groom-to-be and bride-to-be personally greeted each attendee and expressed gratitude for their coming. Outside the restaurant beforehand, Douglas, arriving in a limo with Zeta-Jones, was asked the best thing about getting married. "You're looking at her," he replied. Father of the groom, Kirk Douglas, who turns 84 next month, quipped: "I'd marry her myself, but my wife won't let me."
