A chipper Michael J. Fox was one of the celebrities on hand in New York Thursday night for GQ Magazine's Men of the Year Awards, honoring various guys in various areas: Russell Crowe for film, Pierce Brosnan for style, Shaquille O'Neal for team athletics, among others. Having presented Matthew Perry with his award (for TV comedy) and having accepted his own award for being a Man of Courage (for the second year running), Fox told PEOPLE, "Next year I'm going to win for best chef, which was actually a category last year, I think." Quipped his wife, Tracy Pollan, "No he's not. He's a horrible cook." Fox, 39, went on to say that his foundation to help fund Parkinson's research and spur support for patients of the disease is going well, thanks in large part to PEOPLE, which has joined him in the campaign. "We're going to really start in the New Year in several directions: research, funding sources, that kind of thing . . . Anything starting up takes a little time, but I'm anxious to step up and get moving." And how does he feel about the new "Spin City"? (Fox recently vacated the sitcom, so he could spend time on his foundation. He was replaced by Charlie Sheen.) "The two weeks it's been on were great. I'm really happy with how it's going. Charlie's been really great. I think he's very funny and yet very subtle. He's doing his own thing. He brings a cool energy to the show."
